In 2022 Hydrate 30A opened as a mobile IV and convenient care provider to cater to our growing vacation population as well as the full-time residents who also faced difficulty accessing care. After the "busy" season closed, business continued to thrive as the local population sought immediate care and a growing sense of wellness and interest in prevention grew. Hydrate 30A expanded service lines to treat more conditions and allow access to services otherwise limited by insurance and 3rd party payers. With an extensive background in the management of acute and chronic conditions and an ongoing interest in women's health and cardiovascular disease prevention, Hydrate 30A is uniquely poised to treat many health concerns, merging traditional medical diagnostics with emerging wellness focused care.

Katherine Porter, APRN, ACNP-BC is the owner of Hydrate 30A. She holds a BSN from Auburn University and a MSN from UAB. She has extensive experience as an ER/Trauma nurse prior to practicing as an NP in interventional cardiology for 11 years. She has since expanded her training and skills to become a master injector and has grown her practice to be patient focused, backed by advanced procedural skills and extensive knowledge of internal medicine and urgent care/emergency medicine.
The Registered Nurses with Hydrate 30A have backgrounds in emergency medicine and intensive care. Each team member completes training and check-offs for IV access, 797 pharmacy guidelines, and nursing assessments. Prior to accepting assignments each RN participates in precepted ride-along treatments. Standing orders, emergency protocols and appropriate medications are included with each assignment along with direct access to the medical director. Patient health history, charts and requests are reviewed by the provider for each visit to ensure top quality, medically appropriate and safe interventions.
